Hi Ladies!

Welcome to my blog, “Monday Morning Coffee” inspired by my relationship with my Grandma, Aunt Emily, and Mom. My Grandma “Sweet” and Aunt Emily frequently traveled by bus from Cleveland, Ohio, to visit my mother and me in Washington, DC, during the holiday season. I loved these visits that started when school closed for Christmas/Winter Break and spanned into the new year.

The holiday season was so magical in my home because of the love, respect, and comradery shared among my Mom, my Grandma, Aunt Emily, and me. I loved it! I especially loved hearing them wake up in the morning, head to the kitchen to start brewing a fresh pot of coffee, and beginning their discussions about life, love, family, God, last night’s lottery number, and the soaps, particularly The Young and The Restless.

Eventually, they would start making breakfast and call me from my bedroom to join them at the kitchen table. My admiration for them stemmed from the love they had for each other, which they demonstrated by starting their day with that morning cup of coffee and conversation.  My hope is that my blog (see below) will send some genuine love right into your desktop, laptop, iPad, iPhone, and Android as you begin your week while you are drinking your—Monday Morning Coffee.
